What is this research group about?

This research group focuses on using AI and advanced data analysis to predict heart disease risk. They study how lifestyle factors (smoking, exercise, alcohol) and environmental exposures (pollution, inequality) influence heart disease predictability. Additionally, they explore the use of echocardiograms, CT, and MRI for diagnosis. Their work includes developing AI-driven demos to improve cardiovascular research with explainable AI.

Who are the members of the research team?

Our group consists of students from diverse backgrounds and fields of study, allowing us to explore heart disease from multiple perspectives. You can check out About Us, to see all of the students involved in this project. Head of the project is Håkan Lane, Post Doc Researcher.

Where is your research group based?

We are based at Johannes Gutenberg University, Mainz, Germany, specifically within the Data Mining department. Our participating students come from different countries, for example Sweden, France, Germany, Finland, Turkey and Poland.
